Located beside the island’s only natural harbour, the capital of Barbados combines modern and colonial architecture with glorious palm tree-lined beaches and a number of historical attractions. Experience the relaxed culture of the city renowned for its British-style parliament buildings and vibrant beach life, and seek out the Anglican church and the 19th-century Barbados Garrison. The distance between the ship and your tour vehicle may vary. This distance is not included in the excursion grades.
The typical image of a lush tropical paradise comes to life on the friendly island of St Lucia. Despite its small size – just 27 miles long and 14 miles wide – St Lucia is rich in natural splendour with dense emerald rainforest, banana plantations and orchards of coconut, mango and papaya trees. The twin peaks of Les Pitons, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site rise dramatically 2,000 feet into the sky and dominate the island. Look out for unusual birds with brilliant plumage such as the St Lucia parrot, see a surprising diversity of exotic flora and enjoy the warm hospitality of the islanders in the small villages and open-air markets. Please be aware that St Lucia is a small, mountainous island, with steep, winding and bumpy roads. Customers with back and neck problems should take this into consideration when booking an excursion.
This warm city is located in Guadeloupe and offers a choice of activities and places to visit for all the family. From markets to educational theme parks, children and adults alike will find something to entertain them.
Nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa those heady aromas fill the air in Grenada (pronounced gruh-nay-da). Only 21 miles (33½ km) long and 12 miles (19½ km) wide, the Isle of Spice is a tropical gem of lush rain forests, white-sand beaches, secluded coves, exotic flowers, and enough locally grown spices to fill anyone's kitchen cabinet. St. George's is one of the most picturesque capital cities in the Caribbean, St. George's Harbour is one of the most picturesque harbors, and Grenada's Grand Anse Beach is one of the region's finest beaches. The island has friendly, hospitable people and enough good shopping, restaurants, historic sites, and natural wonders to make it a popular port of call. About one-third of Grenada's visitors arrive by cruise ship, and that number continues to grow each year. Grenada's capital is a bustling West Indian city, much of which remains unchanged from colonial days. Narrow streets lined with shops wind up, down, and across steep hills. Brick warehouses cling to the waterfront, and pastel-painted homes rise from the waterfront and disappear into steep green hills. The horseshoe-shaped St. George's Harbour, a submerged volcanic crater, is arguably the prettiest harbor in the Caribbean. Schooners, ferries, and tour boats tie up along the seawall or at the small dinghy dock. The Carenage (pronounced car-a-nahzh), which surrounds the harbor, is the capital's center. Warehouses, shops, and restaurants line the waterfront. The Christ of the Deep statue that sits on the pedestrian plaza at the center of The Carenage was presented to Grenada by Costa Cruise Line in remembrance of its ship, Bianca C, which burned and sank in the harbor in 1961 and is now a favorite dive site. An engineering feat for its time, the 340-foot-long Sendall Tunnel was built in 1895 and named for Walter Sendall, an early governor. The narrow tunnel, used by both pedestrians and vehicles, separates the harbor side of St. George's from the Esplanade on the bay side of town, where you can find the markets (produce, meat, and fish), the Cruise Ship Terminal, the Esplanade Mall, and the public bus station.
Together, the islands of Trinidad and Tobago make up a state and as such are an independent member of the British Commonwealth. Located just off the coast of Venezuela, both islands are excellent getaways offering different attractions. While Trinidad pulses with life, the smaller and unspoiled island of Tobago is the place for a restful and relaxing holiday. Most of its appeal lies in the beautiful scenery and the availability of outdoor activities. The tourist area is concentrated on the southwestern end, about six miles from the island’s capital of Scarborough. The recently completed deep water harbor with its new cruise terminal has helped to spruce up the town a bit. Although not warranting an extended visit, Scarborough features interesting Botanic Gardens, a few historical buildings and the well-maintained Fort King George, located above the town. The primary appeal, however, lies without doubt in the great outdoors - swimming, snorkeling, diving, fishing, golfing, playing tennis or simply relaxing on Tobago's glorious beaches.
Kingstown is the capital of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The port city is known for its Botanical Gardens, founded in 1765 and home to tropical plants and aviaries. On a ridge above the bay, the 1806 Fort Charlotte offers panoramic views of the archipelago. The city center has 19th-century churches such as St. Mary’s Cathedral. The lively Kingstown Market sells local produce. Popular Villa Beach is nearby

The dining scene packs in a variety of restaurants, including a food hall that deals in globetrotting meal stations, waiter-service speciality spots and all-day grab ‘n’ go snacks. One of the highlights is Platter – a speciality place serving photo-worthy boards topped with cheese, meats and light bites. Marella Voyager boasts some exclusive eateries, too – its Mexican restaurant is the only one of its kind in the entire fleet.
The dress code – The onboard dress code varies for each restaurant, but you can easily break it down into Beachwear, Casual and Smart.
The first is a come-as-you-are affair, so bikinis and trunks get the thumbs up, but please wear something on your feet for safety reasons.
Casual, meanwhile, speaks for itself – we’re talking tops and shorts or a sundress. Then you’ve got Smart, which is when you’ll need to dress up a little bit. You can wear shirts or polo shirts, trousers or tailored shorts, skirts or dresses, smart trainers, shoes or sandals, but we ask that you leave sportswear, flip-flops and non-tailored shorts in your cabin. If you want to add a jacket or a tie, that’s completely up to you, but our dress to impress nights give you the chance to get really suited and booted.
Latitude 53 is the ship's main restaurant. It's all waiter service here, and the floor-to-ceiling windows mean the views are top class. Menu-wise, expect a selection of your favourite dishes. There's a casual dress code during the day here, and smart in the evening. Keep an eye out our new "Treat Yourself" dishes - these cost a little extra and include things like steak and lobster.
Vista is tucked away in Latitude 53, on Deck 6. In the evening, this restaurant transforms into a classy Italian restaurant, complete with a menu of regional dishes made with authentic ingredients. There's a smart dress code here.
At Nonna's, you can tuck in to made-to-order pizza for lunch and dinner. Salad and calzones also star on the menu. There's a casual dress code here.
The Snack Shack is just the ticket for bites to eat by the pool. It's nestled on the pool deck, and serves light options and grab & go snacks throughout the day. Feel free to wear your beachwear here.
A firm Marella Cruises favourite, this swanky eatery offers up a selection of pan-Asian dishes for you to tuck in to. From gyozas and dumplings to curries and bespoke dishes created by Master Chef Ian Pengelley. Including our new Thali option - an Indian-style meal made up of a selection of dishes served on a platter. Just so you're aware, this is one of the ship's specialty restaurants, so there is a charge to dine here; we recommend making a reservation in advance. There's a smart dress code here.

The Kitchens is a brand-new food hall made up of eight different eateries. Some of the highlights include traditional roast dinners at Gravy Boat, Asian curries at Banyan Leaf, and Greek-style pittas at Athenas. There's a casual dress code here.
Silver Fork sits on Deck 5, and it's a firm foodie favourite, celebrating the best of British cuisine. We've upped the wow-factor in two refined menus - a three-course a la carte menu, and a seven-course tasting menu. If you opt for à la carte, you'll have the likes of lightly fried cockles and coronation chicken starters, mains including tender salmon and our chef's twist on pie and mash, and for dessert, you've got sticky toffee pudding or Eton mess. If tasting's more your thing, the seven-course menu lines up the likes of tomato soup, scallops, beef Wellington and a chocolatey dessert, all paired with a flight of wine. These menus add a special something to your dining experience - as the name suggests, they're worthy of a silver fork. There's a smart dress code here
It also hosts The Great Musical Afternoon Tea. This weekly event brings the West End to Marella Cruises, with dishes inspired by famous musicals - like the 'Vietnamese Melody' beef tenderloin yakitori and the 'On My Own' Petit choux. There are six teas to choose from, as well as a cocktail of your choice. Plus, the whole place is decorated with show posters and memorabilia.

If you're planning a cruise and have a disability, use a wheelchair, have special dietary needs, a sensory impairment or are undergoing medical treatment, you must let Marella know when making your booking. Failure in doing this may result in you being refused boarding on arrival at the ship. For more information please contact Marella's Customer Welfare Team. If you plan to use a wheelchair onboard and require adapted facilities you must book a specially adapted cabin. All of Marella shops have at least four of these cabins. These cabins may only be booked by those who require adapted facilities. If you plan to use your wheelchair onboard but do not require adapted facilities, please contact the Customer Welfare Team to make sure an appropriate cabin type can be selected. If you need your wheelchair - either standard or battery operated - when you're ashore, Marella will look after it for you at the gangway so it's there when you need it. But you will have to be able to manage the gangway without it. In ports where a tender to shore is necessary, you'll have to stay onboard if you can't manage without your wheelchair. At other times, depending on the port and the tides , it may not be possible for you to leave the ship at all due to gangway access. Some excursions may not be suitable for the less mobile. Marella Cruises have teamed up with AccessAble, who have created detailed access guides for each of our ships. Visit their website to find out more: https://www.accessable.co.uk/marella-cruises

If you've got any dietary requirements, please mention it when you book and let the restaurant manager know once you're onboard. We also provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and diabetic-friendly options on request. If you need to bring your own food for medical reasons, please let us know in advance so we can ensure we have the correct facilities in place to store and prepare this. There may be some requests we aren't able to accommodate, so it's important you let us know when you book your cruise. Take a look at a sample menu to see the kind of dishes on offer.
Dietary Requirements
No one under the age of 17 can travel on their own onboard our cruise ships. For itineraries that include stops in the USA, the minimum age to travel alone will be 21 – this applies whilst onboard the ship and ashore. You can wear shirts or polo-shirts, trousers or tailored shorts, skirts or dresses, smart trainers, shoes or sandals, but we ask that you leave sportswear, flip-flops and non-tailored shorts in your cabin. If you want to add a jacket or a tie, that’s completely up to you, but our Dress to Impress nights give you the chance to get really suited and booted.
If you book onto one of our shore excursions, make sure to consider what’s culturally appropriate to wear. For example, if you’re visiting a religious building you might be asked to cover your legs, shoulders, and hair. Or, if you’re cruising in tropical climes like in the Caribbean bring a waterproof jacket in case of rain. Make sure you bring some comfy shoes with you too, as your excursions might include lots of walking.

If you’re feeling unwell, make your way to the medical centre on Deck 4. The ship has a resident English-speaking doctor who’ll be on hand to help with any issues, as well as provide consultations and prescriptions.
Medical Facilities
All our ships are non-smoking, which means you can only smoke in designated areas of the open deck. Smoking isn't permitted on cabin balconies, either. As for e-cigarettes, you can use these in the designated areas on deck.
In some countries e-cigarettes are banned and will be confiscated. You can visit gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice to check the countries you'll be sailing to.

Everything at your fingertips
Want to book a restaurant or check your onboard account, without leaving your cabin? Our free onboard app, Navigate, can take care of that. If you’re bringing your smartphone, tablet or laptop on board, you’ll be able to use our app for free – you don’t even need to pay for Wi-Fi.

We have Wi-Fi on all of our ships, as well as designated Wi-Fi zones. Internet access is charged to your cabin account at the rate advertised on board. Mobiles can be used, too, and there are telephones in each cabin, so it's easy to stay in touch with people back home. If you're pairing your cruise with a stay in one of our hotels, we'll let you know which places have free Wi-Fi – just look out for the special logo. Due to the nature of the location, Wi-Fi connectivity on our Nile cruises can be poor.
Wi-Fi & Internet Access
We’re always assessing how we can make our cruise fleet more sustainable, and we’re finding new ways all the time. For example, on Marella Discovery, we refurbished the main dining room to remove all neon and halogen lights and replaced them with a more efficient system. This helped cut the ship’s yearly carbon emissions, as well as reduce Marella Discovery’s overall fuel consumption. And, since 2019 we’ve swapped over five million pieces of single-use plastic with paper or wood alternatives.
People, Planet, Progress
We know that going away on holiday is one of life’s great pleasures – you get to relax, recharge your batteries and make unforgettable memories. However, we’re also aware of the impact flying planes and running hotels have on the environment, and our planet as a whole. As a company, we pledge to become a net-zero company by 2050 at the latest, and we’re working hard to make that goal a reality.
With that being said, some of the things we need to achieve this aim aren’t readily available at scale right now. But that’s not an excuse to do nothing. So, we’re implementing a bunch of other planet-friendly measures in the meantime to make sure all of our operations are as clean and as environmentally friendly as they can be. To do this, we’re focusing on four key areas:
Environmental & Sustainability
With your help, the TUI Care Foundation – an independent organisation initiated and supported by TUI – is working hard to ensure tourism continues to have a positive impact by protecting the natural environment and empowering local communities in holiday destinations around the world.
From safeguarding marine environments in Turkey and Majorca, to vocational training for young people in the Dominican Republic and Sri Lanka, and tackling plastic waste in Cyprus and Zanzibar – your donation supports over 50 TUI Care Foundation projects in 25 countries worldwide.
We have you – our loyal customers – to thank for making the TUI Care Foundation’s work possible. Every time you book a holiday with us, you have the option to make a donation to the TUI Care Foundation and it’s these donations that help to make a difference around the world, so please keep them coming.
Now when you book, you can also choose to adopt a turtle or a tree and support the TUI Care Foundation’s global TUI Turtle Aid and TUI Forests programmes.
By adopting a turtle, you’re helping to protect endangered loggerhead turtles and their nesting sites on beaches, increase hatchling survival rates and raise awareness in tourism destinations about the importance of protecting native turtle populations.
Your tree adoption helps to look after a newly planted tree seedling in one of the TUI Care Foundation’s forests around the world. The TUI Forests programme puts woodland at the centre of thriving communities in holiday destinations. It plants new trees and supports local livelihoods through community-managed tree nurseries and by creating forest-based tourism experiences.
Every penny you donate counts towards our mission to preserve holiday destinations in a way that benefits the natural environment and local people, now and in the future.

Pool and bath towels are provided and every cabin has a hairdryer. If you need to stock up on essentials, our onboard shops sell things like toothpaste. It’s a good idea to bring a light jacket with you, as there’s often a strong sea breeze.

Finally, if you book any excursions, you might need to adhere to certain dress codes. Islamic countries have strict modesty laws, so, in certain areas, you’ll need to cover your shoulders and knees. When visiting mosques or other holy sites, women may be required to cover their hair, arms and legs, and men will need to wear long trousers and a top with sleeves.
